Samoan Language Week

This week was Samoan week.We learnt about phrases, counting and colors. At reading we did a scavenger hunt and we had to find facts around the room and then turn it into a puzzle. We had experts come up to the front of the class and teach us a few things. The experts were Matila and Rosa. Did you know there are only 17 letters in the Samoan alphabet? I learnt a lot about Samoa I can't wait until next time to learn more.

Football Eden Albert Zones

On Tuesday people who signed up for football went to Western Springs to compete against other schools in the football zones. The boys came 2nd to last and the girls came 3rd. The girls drew with a team that had not lost, so that was pretty exciting.  We all had a great time and I look forward to doing it again next year. I was in the girls team along with Mia, Faith, Alana, Elia, Zara, Hannah, Kayano, Lucy and I.

Balloon Experiments

On Wednesday we did science we were learning about gas.Xavier P blew up a balloon and squeezed it and his hands were wobbling the whole time. It's because the air from the balloon was trying to get out of that space. After that experiment Luka blew up a balloon and put it into a bucket of water he let go and the water turned to bubbles. The water went all over the carpet. This was fun.

The Water Cycle

This term we have been learning about the water cycle and how it works. We have started searching for information that might help us in our explanation writing. Miss down gave us the worksheet that is in the picture.Did you know that 70% of a human beings body is water. Three quarters of the world is water. 97% of the water on earth is salt water that comes from the sea. My favorite facts is that all the water that on earth today every single drop that is all the water there has ever been on earth.
